Engineer who ships real products

I'm Owen, a founder and full-stack engineer in Seattle. I designed, built and launched four live products solo — web and iPad, database to App Store — so I can own a feature end-to-end on your team from day one.

Work

LearnEE landing page: “Get insane at electronics” beside a live experiment where a battery lights a cartoon LED named Pip.
  • Full-stack
  • Supabase
  • Stripe + Apple IAP
  • Web + iOS

A “Duolingo for electronics”: 240+ experiments graded by a live circuit simulator (opens learnee.app in a new tab)

LearnEE, web + iOS · 134 sign-ups in the first 4 weeks

What went into it
  • 240+ interactive experiments across 35 worlds and 10 subjects, from Ohm's law to PID control, RF and a CPU wired gate by gate — each graded by an in-browser circuit simulator.
  • Launched to 600+ unique visitors, 31K+ tracked events and 134 sign-ups (~22% conversion) in 4 weeks; learners finished 1,700+ lessons and 660+ challenges.
  • $6.99/mo Pro tier that unifies Stripe (web) and Apple In-App Purchase (iOS) into one entitlement model — paying subscribers within 30 days.
  • XP, streaks, energy, weekly leagues, referrals and an AI tutor on a 19-table Supabase/PostgreSQL schema with row-level security on every table, plus Sign in with Apple.
five28 landing page: “Everyone dreads the MCAT. You don't have to.” with a sample passage-based question below.
  • Next.js
  • React
  • TypeScript
  • EdTech

Gamified MCAT prep with a 9,000+ question bank and a skill-tree learning engine (opens five28.app in a new tab)

five28 · Next.js, React, TypeScript

What went into it
  • Covers all 4 exam sections across 8 courses, with Daily CARS passages, flashcards and timed full-length exams with diagnostic score reports.
  • Skill-tree learning engine — course → unit → skill → 5 mastery levels, plus “boss” passage sets — with spaced resurfacing of missed questions.
  • Streaks, XP and leagues, and a personalized study-plan onboarding funnel.
Scribba landing page: “The notebook that remembers the lecture” over an iPad showing handwritten biology notes with a synced transcript.
  • Swift
  • iPadOS
  • On-device AI

An iPad notebook that syncs every pen stroke to the lecture audio (opens scribba.app in a new tab)

Scribba, on the App Store · Swift, Apple Intelligence, PencilKit

What went into it
  • Records lectures while you write; tap any line to replay that moment with live ink highlighting.
  • On-device Apple Intelligence generates key points, flags gaps in notes and answers questions from recordings — zero servers, accounts or trackers.
  • Spaced-repetition flashcards with Quizlet/Anki export, 39 page templates, PDF import and iCloud sync.

Built to ship

Founder and full-stack engineer who ships real products fast. I designed, built and launched four live products solo across web and iPad — an EE learning platform, an MCAT prep platform, an AI notebook app and a trading terminal — owning everything from database design and auth to payments, on-device AI and growth.

I'm finishing a B.S. Electrical Engineering, minor in Mathematics at Seattle University (expected June 2028) and I want a remote team to build web applications with. Everything above went from idea to paying users without a second engineer; I'd like to see what happens with one.

Before
software

Construction sites, a business I started at nineteen, a campus IT desk. The habit of finishing things came first; the code came later.

  1. 2026 – now

Founder & software engineer · LearnEE, five28, Scribba, Stupid Simple Trader

    Four live products, solo-built end-to-end.

  2. May 2025 – now

IT technician · Seattle University Information Technologies

Built a tiered troubleshooting protocol that cut ticket resolution time; led training for staff and students through a campus-wide system migration.

  3. Jun 2024 – Sep 2025

Founder · Blue Ridge Bear's Window Washing

Scaled to 100+ clients in the first summer; wrote and tested a door-to-door sales script that drove a 300% increase in sales.

    Contractor · Tanner Construction

End-to-end residential remodels, from demolition and structural work to final build-out.

Small talk

The short answers are here. For anything else, email me — I write back the same day.

Whole products, start to finish. LearnEE is a gamified electrical-engineering course with a live circuit simulator; five28 is MCAT prep that works like a game; Scribba is a native iPad notebook that records lectures while you write; Stupid Simple Trader is a stock and crypto terminal. I built all four solo — database, auth, payments, UI, analytics and growth.
